They make incredible tasting ice-cream using liquid nitrogen in the creation process!
The whole parlour is designed to look like a science lab, complete with two large tanks of liquid nitrogen, with the sauces and toppings for the ice-cream being stored in flasks and test tubes.
The owner and creator takes the time to explain how it all works, and how he will create your ice-cream. There are the two standard flavours- vanilla and chocolate. But vanilla filled with real vanilla and premium rich cocoa from somewhere sunny and hot. Then there is the weekly special. Amazing and creative flavours that make you think 'What? Wow!'. The flavour of the week for my visit was Tea and Birthday cake. Earl Gray tea and victoria sponge birthday cake flavour to be exact!!!
The liquid nitrogen is syphoned out of the tank, with a plume of steam that fills that lab, and cascades down over the surfaces, just like out of a science fiction movie!
After the initial ingredients are mixed, the liquid nitrogen is slowly added and mixed in.
Ice-cream ready!
Then you get to choose a sauce of your choice, ranging from chocolate and toffee sauces, to fresh fruity berry sauces. Then it is on to the toppings! Salty or sweet, crunchy or soft. pretzels, giant chocolate buttons, crushed nuts, or popping candy to name a few!
Quite frankly who can refuse popping candy, especially when it is an amazing shimmering bronze colour!
It was a great experience, and I can definately recommend it.
If you go let me know what the Special of the week is, and how tasty it was.
YUM!!!
