Muse and VW fest

I have realised that i have quite a few photos that i have not got round to putting up here yet! The first set that needs to go up are photos from the Muse gig that we saw in Wembley last month. it was AMAZING!! it is one of the best gigs i have ever been to, if not the best one. We have been lucky enough to have seen them at Wembley twice now. The last time was over two years ago, and I got to see them at Glastonbury this year also. ...... well i say see them. i could see small figures moving around on a colourful stage, in glimpses between peoples heads.
The atmosphere at the Glastonbury set was great though as thousands of people crammed into the Pyramid stage field. While they were playing someone set off a flare and the red glow lit the crowd in a eerie but amazing way that just gave it all a surreal feeling.

This time though, I was seated, and although up high, not at the very top of the arena. i was quite glad of this as the last time we were almost at the very top, and discovered it produced strong sense of vertigo, and a deep rushing sense of falling.
We had a great view this time, and i think it rivaled our friends who had got standing tickets, and although closer then we were would have missed a lot of the details of the incredible stage set.
I am looking forward to getting the shots up, and i am really pleased with how they came out. The high point of the show was near the end, when suddenly a full size UFO took to the air from behind the stage and then took flight out into the stadium over the crowd. it was breathtaking and all the hairs on my arms stood up. Then a dancer on ribbons somersaulted out of the bottom of it!

Then a couple of weeks ago, we headed back to Brighton for Brighton Breeze the VW show, where a gorgeous array of beetles and vans gathered together in a rainbow of  colour in the drizzling rain. I get overexcited when surrouned by VW's as i have been slightly obsessed with them since i have been 13. I have never come that close to owning one, but we were lucky enough to have friends that have a VW van called Dotty, and we got to use her as our wedding car. We saw her and Ben her owner at Breeze.
Also met lots of nice people who were happy for people to take photos of the vehicles and chat to us.
I will get some photos of them up here in the next few days hopefully.
Have a good weekend
A
