walk on the beach

I know it has been a few weeks since I was last on here, so my apologies.
I have been caught up with lots of different bits, but mainly my weekends have been occupied with family get togethers with birthdays and bits. One of the birthdays in question allowed us to go back to Sussex for the weekend. We both miss being by the sea alot in recent times, and are very aware of how far away it seems now sometimes. So before all the drinking and the eating of the weekend commenced, we slipped away down to Shoreham, for what would turn out to be quite a bracing walk. the quality of light was amazing as though it was nearly lunchtime it had a gentle light of late afternoon. I took only my 50mm lens along so I could get more familiar with it, it also produces a beautiful quality of light and image itself which i am falling in love with. Here are some of the photos from the walk. I am quite pleased with the beach hut shot, that I had a play around with, and if I didnt know better would mistake it for an old postcard!!

There were lots of dead crabs and shells washed up on the beach, and I think it is connected to the piece of news that was reported a few days previously. that due to it being one of the coldest winters in years hundreds of crabs and other creatures had frozen to death in the seas. Kents beaches were covered in thousands of crabs and starfish after the snows! very sad.

Have a good weekend
Always ..... Asmartartz
